Seaside furniture: that Mediterranean touch

Seaside furniture can be truly original and magic when inspired by an equally magical place. The one incredible Italian island called Ischia, full of history, myth and also one of favorite Italian locations for shooting countless international movies, has definitely inspired a certain Mediterranean design with its dazzling colors gifted by nature. That is where Tosconova has been chosen for one of the most stunning resort in the whole island to bring their design inspiration.

It all converges in one of those magical places: OraBlu Villas, owned by the Siano Family, which owns the beautiful Borgo Sant’ Andrea and the famous San Montano Resort, has been renovated. The complex of independent apartments and villas with sea views and lush private gardens now has a new atmosphere. The unmistakable Mediterranean aesthetic permeates every single detail, while the design and furnishings make guests feel at one with the magic of the area and the incredible sunsets.

When the owners decided to renovate the rooms and give the decor a vintage feel, they turned to architect Claudio Pulicati, who worked on the entire project, from the spatial subdivision to the choice of every single design detail.

The architect had a clear idea of what he wanted: a refined special atmosphere, something different from mainstream seaside furniture but always and deeply linked to the sea – the stunning floors realized with unique Vietri ceramics are just one example of that connection. The resort’s owner decided to turn to Tosconova for choosing the perfect pieces of furniture and upholstery. The leading material in the whole resort is now Canaletto walnut wood, one of the cutting-edge materials in Tosconova’s collections. As per upholstery, the choice has fallen on the incredibly sophisticated Rubelli textiles – another example of the so-called artisans of Italy.

The owners of OraBlu Villas preferred rounded shapes and wood furniture by Tosconova. In fact, some of the chosen pieces of furniture are the masterpiece Lungarno bed, part of the ultimate Lungarno collection, Forty chairs and Forty stools that contribute to reinventing spaces and turn them into the relax room of dreams, Zoe table which represents the perfect blend of tradition and modernity and last but absolutely not least, the iconic Vivi armchair, ready to light up any space with its sophisticated design.

As always, the key element is an absolutely necessary fil rouge: interior design mostly revolves around this, even when it is very subtle. In this case, each and any piece of furniture by Tosconova shares Canaletto walnut wood details, together with rounded vintage shapes. Super high quality of furniture and the incomparable context of Ischia do the rest.
